Curriculum

Connect Kids is a creative and innovative social-emotional curriculum for grades 1-12 that helps kids learn skills in mindfulness, self-agency & leadership. We use our leadership behavioral methodology to create a cohesive space where kids feel safe and heard. Each week, there is a grounding theme with an associated Connect Kids behavior that builds skills in making a positive connection with the evolving world around them. Kids will enjoy fun and meaningful group work, games, movement, and journaling. They will come away each week with a deeper connection with themselves, their peers, and the world around them.

An example of our grounding theme from Week 2:

Power Word: Self-Care
Associated Connect Kids Behavior: Journaling & Coping Skills

Each week, we begin with a review of mindfulness, growth mindset, and active listening, why those are important, and how those skills help us today and every day.

Throughout week 2, we use this grounding theme to teach that Self-Care is the action of caring about ourselves through healthy, consistent behaviors in order to live an emotionally and physically healthy life. Examples of this: journaling our thoughts and feelings from the day, using healthy coping skills when we feel stress creep in and asking ourselves three important questions per day: 1) how am I feeling? 2) What am I going to do about it tomorrow? 3) What help or connection do I need to accomplish this tomorrow?
